how to make roast beef crostini with horseradish aioli

Perfect to serve at a New Year’s Eve party with an easier take on the traditional flavors of prime rib and roast beef. This is also the perfect game-day appetizer!
beef crostini Ingredients
Roast beef – Just use deli roast beef, but buy the good stuff.
Horseradish aioli – get that recipe here, or use “creamy horseradish” from the condiments section of the store. Homemade is always so much better though (and healthier).
Balsamic fig glaze – The recipe for this is below, but it’s just fig jam and balsamic vinegar which makes a deliciously sweet glaze!
Green onion – Fresh green onion adds a subtle peppery flavor to these beef crostini.
step by step Instructions
Slice and toast your baguette (if you’re using presliced, just toast those).
Once the bread slices are toasted, rub a garlic clove on them then drizzle olive oil on one side.

Add a dollop of horseradish aioli.

Top the aioli with your roast beef.

Drizzle the balsamic fig glaze.

Lastly, top with chopped green onion.

in a pinch instructions
This recipe is naturally an in a pinch style recipe since we use packaged roast beef. However, you could also shave some time using the following tips.
- Purchase the presliced crostini slices.
- Skip rubbing the garlic (not recommended since this adds so much flavor).
- Make sauces ahead of time or buy storebought aioli and balsamic glaze.
how to store beef crostini

Surprisingly, these beef crostini store very well in the fridge and are delicious heated up! Of course, they’re much better fresh so I recommend making these right before serving.
Simply store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, either pop in the microwave, or 300 degree oven and heat until warmed through.
roast beef crostini Tips

- Quality roast beef – like Boar’s Head, or the fresh sliced roast beef from the deli.
- Garlic rub – Rubbing the garlic on the toasted crostini makes all the difference.
- Pre-prep sauces – Make the sauces ahead of time so when you have to prepare the appetizer it’s even easier. This also gives the sauces time to marinate and develop their flavors.
Serving Suggestions

Appetizer – beef crostini are best served as a starter at gatherings. In particular New Year’s Eve, Christmas, and around the holidays.
Lunch – admittedly, this was our lunch the day I made these! After the last picture (maybe before) we were scarfing these delicious bites down.
Dinner – These would be perfect paired with a large salad filled with lots of vegetables!
Charcuterie board – I love adding a few of these to charcuterie boards when hosting a get-together. They add so much charm to the board!
