Hoisin Peanut Sauce Tips
Don't overcomplicate - don't overcomplicate this recipe by pulling out the blender, sauteeing, or doing anything else unnecessary! This hoisin peanut sauce is tasty simply mixed up and served.
Let it marinate - as the sauce sits, the flavors will marinate and develop to become even more delicious. Let it sit for about 15 minutes before serving if possible.
Thin out or keep thick - depending on what you're using the sauce for, you might want it thick, or thin. Be sure to use water to thin out if you want it thinner.
Peanut butter type makes a difference - we use natural peanut butter (just peanuts and sea salt) which is always quite thin and runny and gives this hoisin peanut sauce a thinner consistency naturally - we only used 1 tbs of water for this reason. If you're using a thicker peanut butter you might need more water.
